Procimo created the first affordable and super-reliable, award winner, amateur sports tracker for Field.

With the help of our tech brainiacs, Field and Procimo partnered with the European Space Agency (ESA) to have the privileged access to the  European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) - allowing us to combine the latest GPS and GNSS with the world's best precision-achiever system for geolocation.

We've also combined this super GPS/GNSS + EGNOS geolocation tech with Ultra Wide Band (UWB), to deliver even a more constant, more reliable, and highly precise (at the inch/cm) positions.

No only that, but our GPS/GNSS module can even be actively fed with local radio corrective instructions to guarantee an even more precise geolocation data.

We've went even further and this device has a built-in 9-axis accelerometer, a gyroscope and a magnetometer - all for the sake of correcting outliers from the positions trend.

This device  is also capable of pairing with hearth-rate band monitors and broadcast all this position and data information to Field's servers in real-time, whereas at indoor or outdoor environments.

All in real-time at 10 positions per second

GPS/GNSS allow us to get outdoor positions and UWB allows us to get positions in indoor facilities. This combination also allows us to broadcast data from the device in real-time in both outdoor and indoor environments at a 10Hz rate.

Field can now serve their amateur players with a professional grade positioning, on any pitch or venue.

Big Data Platform

To serve all this data, Procimo has developed a Big Data platform to handle all the millions of data points collected world-wide and process them in real time, sending processed metrics to Field and their users.

The Challenge

The sports tracker market is dominated by two powerhouses that work with all major sports clubs across different sports. However, these devices are only accessible to the top-tier clubs due to the high costs involved.

In 2019, Field was pressed to develop an affordable, yet reliable, sports tracker for its +10.000 amateur football players.

Resolving to create a disruptive sports tracker, Field partnered with Procimo to develop an affordable tracker, web & mobile app, engagement platform, and a competitive product with digital appeal for amateur sports athletes.
